I’ve found a place to live! At least temporarily. A friend’s family has allowed me to stay in their spare room. It’s got a bed and everything!

Currently I’ll still need to find a new job, since the place I’m moving to is way farther than I can afford to travel to the old job regularly. Also I hated that job and wanted to leave anyway, so that works.

So thanks to everyone who supported me through Patreon or Ko-Fi thus far! Right now I have about 3 months of rent money saved up so hopefully I’ll be okay. Comics will hopefully be back soon, but if you haven’t heard, TAPASTIC changed their terms of service and they can no longer be trusted. So I gotta find a new webhost, or pay up for my own sites/domains. Pages will definitely show up on Patreon until I find a free alternative or can afford to pay for a year’s hosting. Goddess of Paradise will still be available on tumblr for the time being, but I need to fix the archives page.

SO just a head’s up, I made one of those COFFEE things people been using lately. I know at least one person who preferred not to use Patreon, so this seems like an easier alternative if you’d rather not donate monthly or have to sign in or anything!

Unfortunately I’ve recently learned that I have until the 1st of June to find a new place to live. I’ve been living on a friend’s couch for the past year working at a mcdonald’s that has no full-time benefits, and I don’t know if I’ll find a job (realistically two) that will make me enough to get my own place in time. I have a decent savings built up, but I’ll be surprised if I find a place that doesn’t need proof of employment and all that.

 I’m planning to finish Ch.3 of Goddess of Paradise before the end of the month, but the pressure is gonna diminish my art ‘till further notice.

my shading is EXTREMELY simple, assuming you use photoshop or something (I use SAI). I usually just use a fitting color (anything that isn’t black or white, maybe grey too) at 60% opacity and either leave it as is or set the blending to multiply. Just a flat round brush, no blur or anything. sometimes if something needs extra oomph I’ll add a color gradient to the character and then overlay/multiply/screen/luminosity blend. there’s a lot of color theory involved and that takes a lot of experimenting… 

for sketches I just do a flat color at 30%
